Brain Entrainment Session Samples
Care for the CaretakerThere is no job more demanding than being a caretaker of another. Anyone that oversees the well-being of any individual, this session is especially for you. This is a deep relaxing alpha session. The session begins at 13 Hz and overtime while you relax, lowers to 8 Hz. When we are in a state of physical and mental relaxation, although aware of what is happening around us, its frequency are around 7 to 13 pulses per second. This is the beauty of alpha session. |

As We Sleep and SlumberThis session is an aid to help calm the busy wondering mind and decrease restlessness associated with various diagnosis (i.e. ASD, ADHD, insomnia, etc.). Through calming ambient tones and theta waves, this session pays direct attention to the hypothalamus since its primary function is on the control of our basic instincts such as sleeping. Starting at the upper end of theta and lowering the frequency and tonality, the user is guided through the various stages of relaxation and sleep. |
FocusIncreasing levels of focus, attention to detail, attention to task, and overall concentration associated with school or work, these sessions were extensively tested in an alternative learning school with those with diagnosis such as ASD, learning disability, ADHD/ADD, and emotional disturbances. This is a low beta session designed to facilitate focus and attention while studying or working. The lower range of Beta activity is associated with quiet, focused, introverted concentration. |
Decreasing Hypersensitive TendenciesThose that are hypersensitive may feel the world is a threatening place. Every touch, sound, smell, may overwhelming and affect how they interact with their surroundings. This transitional session was created to combat hypersensitive tendencies and decrease the likelihood of adverse reactions or unproductive behaviors. Those that are hypersensitive tend to function in a high beta range. This session begins in beta and decreases into alpha to increase calm & increase environmental tolerance. |
Calming the Sensory SeekerThis session is for decreasing sensory seeking behaviors and tendencies (hyposensitive). By stimulating alpha and SMR in the right brain hemisphere and alpha and beta in the left, increased attention span and and attention to task are noted. |
Study 101: Concentration BoostWhen we need to stay on task and motivated to study, sometimes concentration may fall to the wayside. Beta waves have been extensively studied and found to be extremely beneficial. This session carries through increasing beta waves and plateaus at a constant for expanded study. Evidence that exists sheds light on the benefits of beta waves to be in the realms of reading comprehension, reduced fatigue, attention span, and overall academic achievement. |
Take Flight: Mastering TransitionsAt times we all have time getting started in the morning. Sometimes it can be very difficult to catch up to where we need to be or switch to the next activity. To assist with transitions we utilize Gamma waves. Gamma waves are able to link information from all parts of the brain – the gamma wave originates in the thalamus and moves from the back of the brain to the front and back again 40 times per second – not only that, but the entire brain is influenced by the gamma wave. |
Finding CenterRather if it’s a sensory break away from peers, nap time in class, or just time to sit with Mommy or Daddy for a great big hug, quite time is always needed. In this entrainment session Alpha waves are utilized. Here, they slowly decrease in frequency and tone to create a relaxing, but not lulling or sleeping session. Alpha waves can be seen as the "relaxing waves". They also play an extremely important role by bridging the conscious and unconscious mind. |
This is a short 10 Hz Alpha relaxation session, it is ideal as a seven minute vacation from daily worries. This session also use the protocol which alternate stimulation between the left and right ears, which is particularly useful for people who are hyperactive.
The use of this session is in a quiet, comfortable place, free of distraction, in a chair or lying down. After starting the session, close your eyes and relax. Headphones are required for this particular session, however, this does not apply to all of On Time Pediatrics brain entrainment sessions.
